Dusty's Bio"Dusty" has been clowning around since 2003. Since this time, he has worked with several clown organizations including the International Shrine Clown Association, Red Nose Response, and has performed at hundreds of events across New England including parades, festivals, fairs, trade shows and more, for audiences of children and adults accumulating over 15,000 hours of community service, and has raised over $150,000 for various children's charities.
"Dusty" enjoys being a clown because he can attend events and make children of all ages smile and laugh. "Dusty" has always taken his clowning abilities seriously, and works to improve himself as a professional because he feels he owes it to his fans. In 2012, "Dusty" received the highest award from the Northeast Clown Institute the Master Clown Award, for his dedication to improving himself as a clown and accumulation of the necessary credits . This award has only been given to a small group of the several thousand clowns whom attended the Northeast Clown Institute. In 2015, Dusty attended the American Clown Academy's (Advanced Studies Program to further his skills in clowning to allow him to become a better clown. "Dusty" has also attended several other clowning seminars because he still feels as though he has much to learn and plans to continue his education at other clown colleges and seminars in the future. He also enjoys sharing his knowledge with new clowns to help them to become better clowns. "Dusty" has won many awards for his skills and dedication to clowning including several 1st place awards for costume and makeup, as well as paradability, at various international and regional competitions, the Smile Maker Award at the 2011 Shriners Imperial Session, and being named the clown of the year by the Aleppo Shrine Clowns in 2008. When he is not clowning around, "Dusty" also volunteers with several other charities including the Boy Scouts of America as a Merit Badge Counselor ("Dusty" is also an Eagle Scout). "Dusty" enjoys appearing at community events, especially performing silly magic, twisting balloon animals, putting on skits, and trying to use his clowning and improvisation and clowning skills to make others laugh and smile. |
